The October/November Lunar Cycle is Eclipse Season – A Potent Time Calls For An Intuitive Approach
The energy of our next Lunar Cycle ushers in Eclipse Season, running from 25th October to 23rd November, beginning with a New Moon Partial Solar Eclipse and culminating with a Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse on November 8th.
This makes the next few weeks a potent time for ‘a-ha’ moments, as Eclipse energy likes to magnify patterns, bringing them more strongly into self awareness.
Especially so when this “Eclipse Season” falls across the Scorpio/Taurus axis.
Why does it do this?
In short – to help you evolve.
Eclipse energy tends to hang around for 6 months and is especially potent if it impacts your chart.
That’s because the change(s) it triggers may not be easy to resolve in a matter of weeks, but if you’re in the depths … or taking action on something … you can expect it to unfold by next May’s Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio (falling on 6th May 2023).
New Moon Solar Eclipse in Scorpio – Lessons around Teamwork and Cooperation
The Scorpio New Moon on the 25th October is the starting page of this chapter and it hints at lessons around teamwork and cooperation, with The Moon, The Sun and Venus all falling at 2 degrees of Scorpio, the Sabian Symbol for which is:
“Neighbours Help In A House Raising Party In A Small Village”
Note the houses in your chart between 2 and 17 degrees of the Taurus/Scorpio axis for the area of life where you can expect this energy to play out.
For the meanings of the houses, click here.
Whether the relationships affected are those in your family, at work or in the community where you live there’s likely a pattern to change
… and the Mercury/Mars/Saturn Trine in Air is supportive in helping you do so.
With Mars (ruler of this eclipse) retrograde for much of this Lunar Cycle, slowing down and re-thinking how you pursue your goals & assert for your needs & desires may be part of that.
Diplomacy, taking time to consider your impact on others and acknowledging your energy levels are likely the way through, rather than pushing, bulldozing and demanding.
The latter may in fact end up having the opposite effect and slow you down further.
Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Taurus – What Are You Awakening To?
The Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse, on 8th November finds Uranus conjunct the Full Moon at 16 degrees of Taurus opposing The Sun, Mercury and Venus in Scorpio and square to Saturn.
The Sabian Symbol for the Full Moon is:
“A Symbolic Battle Between ‘Swords’, The Disciples of Might, And ‘Torches’, The Disciples of Enlightenment”
The message? – Take responsibility and ownership for what needs to change if you don’t want the Universe to take it for you!
But, don’t attempt to force that change in an overt, demanding way.
Neptune’s influence at this full moon eclipse reminds you that gentle, subtle ways often yield great power.
Whether that’s calling on your guides for help, embracing meditation & ensuring your energy is in alignment, or allowing more compassion, time and patience (for self and others).
The first week of November – the lead up to this Full Moon – could be surprising, intense, awakening and transforming, especially if 16 degrees of the fixed signs is prominent in your chart (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius).

Passion Projects, Soul Callings and Magnetism
This Eclipse Season brings lots of energy, which can potentially be used to manifest a passion project or dream.
If you’ve been feeling a need to reconnect with your soul take some time to tune in and listen.
Scorpio/Taurus energy increases magnetism and Mercury’s square with Pluto at the New Moon reminds you of the power of your mind.
