December’s Full Moon falls in the sign of Gemini on 4th December 2017 at 01:48am (AEST).
What is Being Illuminated and the Likelihood of Change
With Mercury turning retrograde shortly before the Full Moon exacts, your ability (or inability) to remain flexible could be highlighted as we build towards the Moon’s fullness.
Issues related to control and/or rigidity could feature and with the Full Moon in T Square with Neptune the advice is to go with the flow as much as is possible.
With the Sun and Moon in mutable signs last minute changes are likely.
Do you Feel Free to Express Yourself?
With Saturn conjunct this Moon’s ruler (Mercury), you could experience push back from others in relation to speaking your truth, expressing your ideas or sharing your personal beliefs.
Perhaps you feel held back, inadequate or shy when it comes to saying what you really think?
Lack of self-belief in your own knowledge may also be a pain point and with Mars sesquiquadrate this Full Moon you could find that the words you speak trigger excessive reactions in others or that they do this for you.
With The Sun, Venus, Saturn and Mercury all in the sign of Sagittarius, tact could be an issue and someone could put their foot in it.
What’s the real story here, why the ‘over’-reaction and what do you or does someone need to release?
What needs conscious attention, acknowledgement and subsequent liberation?
Delegate, Network, Re-Connect with your Why
With so much mutable energy around it will be important to stay grounded and to not spread yourself too thin.
Delegate where you can and revisit your vision board/intentions to ensure that you refresh what it was that you wanted to achieve this lunar month and, importantly, why that achievement was so important to you.
With so many distractions it could be easy to get pulled off track now.
Potential Relationship Angst
Relationships could be a little discordant with what you need seemingly at odds with other’s desires and running around trying to ensure everyone is taken care of could actually back fire.
Maybe it’s time for a little breathing space; especially if communication issues are making things difficult…
With a little distance between you, it could be easier to step back from the emotion and to discern what’s really required to bring about greater balance and harmony.
Strengthen your Connection, Share your Gifts, Be Patient – Timing is Everything
Intuition and creativity could be increased now and you may feel a strong need to share yourself or your creations with others.
Meditation is recommended to keep your spiritual connection strong…
… and this is also likely to bring you greater clarity, or at least a sense of trust, if you’re feeling foggy and are unable to see the bigger picture.
More information may be required and it may not be until the end of this particular Mercury Retrograde cycle that whatever you’re working on right now bares fruit.
As usual with all Mercury Retrogrades – Rework, Revise, Revamp, Re-do…
Inspiration may be thin on the ground and a knowledge update could be required.
Sometimes it can feel like we’re going backwards in pursuit of our goals, but usually those backward-steps make the forward journey far more easier and an improvement on what would have otherwise been.
Travel delays are very likely now.
Potential for Tiredness/Illness
If you’ve not been looking after yourself then this Full Moon could have you feeling a lack of vitality or even experiencing an illness.
What is your body communicating to you and what needs to change?
Perhaps whatever is shown to you now could set the basis for your New Moon intentions on December 18th.
The New Moon will be in Sagittarius then, which is a great sign for growth, expansion and for tuning into your inner spiritual wisdom.
If you’d like to track those intentions throughout the month ahead, you can sign up for my Lunar Illuminations here.
