When Chiron (wounded healer/the wound that makes us wise) stationed and turned retrograde on 27th June, he did so in conjunction with an Aries Moon and in Trine aspect to Mars, who himself was slowing down to turn station-direct.
Mars is the ruler of Aries and was therefore the dispositor of the Moon, so I noted these contacts as an important theme of the Chiron retrograde phase.
This to me indicated that we may be gifted some further awareness around how the recent Mars retrograde has been playing out within our lives – I.e. blocked or wounded expressions of assertion, will, strength (see below for a further list and some possible manifestations to ponder).
Chiron was also square to Mercury at this point, who was strongly placed in his own sign of Gemini indicating the potential for messages being received.
Mercury is the Roman name for the Greek God Hermes, who could travel freely between the Underworld and Earth – so be on the lookout for realisations and “A-Ha” moments that bubble up from the subconscious.
Have you noticed this?
Chiron’s retrograde journey this year will take him from 25degrees to 20 degrees of Pisces; a sign associated with empathy, escapism, oneness, letting go, healing, forgiveness and surrender.
As usual, it is a good idea to whip out your chart and to look for where that area resides within your birth chart.
Whichever house those degrees fall in indicates the themes where Chiron’s energy can be felt at this time.
Also check for planets falling between 20 and 25 degrees of any sign.
If that planet resides in Scorpio, Cancer, Taurus or Capricorn then Chiron will form a harmonious aspect with it and you may well be gifted, not only awareness, but the opportunity of healing and releasing a pattern associated with that planetary placement.
If that planet falls in Aries, Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Sagittarius, Aquarius or Pisces then Chiron will form a hard aspect with it and you may feel more tension or resistance around this process. This period may offer you a chance to build resilience. Relinquishing control of that which is out of our hands and opening to surrender and acceptance may be the key to dealing with this time.
