Mother Earth Astrology’s A to Z to Wellness
U is for ‘Ushering In’.
In keeping with this week’s New Moon what would you like to Usher in to your life?
Aries, the sign of the New Moon, is all about taking the initiative and New Moons offer Us the chance to bring something new into our lives.
The Sabian Symbol for the New Moon is: “A Magic Carpet Hovers Over The Depressing Reality Of Life In An Industrial Area”.
With the Moon in square aspect (challenging) to Pluto we may feel a little glum about our current circumstances, but the ‘magic carpet’ is perhaps promise of a brighter future. Saturn’s trine to the Moon is indicating that this future will require that we put in some hard yards.
‘The Magic Carpet’ also implies that we may not know for sure if what we are working on is going to pay off and some of Us may be feeling stuck or may be dealing with self-defeating self-talk around whether it is all just a flight of fancy.
With Uranus conjunct (next to) the New Moon on Aries 21 “A Boxer Is Entering The Ring” there may be the feeling that, despite the uncertainty, we have to take up the challenge. Uranus craves excitement, innovation and to break free of old, outworn structures. What are we wanting to break free of? Where are we willing to put in a monumental effort?
With Saturn in the mix the effort may feel heavy, but do we really not want to take the risk and stay where we are; saying “No” to a possibly exciting future?
With the Moon in trine (harmonious aspect) on: “A Mother Leads Her Small Child Step By Step Up The Stairs“ we may feel that we are being guided onward. That an invisible hand is leading the way and we just have to trust.
Being open to the signs and symbols that are around us and remaining patient with ourselves and others at this time; especially with Saturn’s current retrograde motion, may be the answer.
Be aware of any competitive feelings that arise this week or any time that you find yourself comparing yourself to others. These feelings are Usually showing Us what we want from life.
The question this New Moon is not whether we want it, but whether we want it enough.
With Jupiter still conjunct the North Node (destiny) on Virgo 15: “A Fine Lace Ornamental Handkerchief” be mindful of feelings of fragility. Allow the vulnerability to come through in face of any fears (Saturn), but do not allow fear to hold you back in pursuit of your vision.
Instead, be brave (Aries), whilst also being gentle and Understanding with yourself.
You are Unique. You are Amazing. Do not Underrate yourself.
The New Moon will be exact on 7th April 2016 at 09:23pm here in Brisbane (AEST). That’s 7th April 2016 at 12:23pm in the UK (GMT +1 (BST)).
