What if I Don't Know my Birth Time?
The time of birth is
essential to determine the Ascendant (Rising Sign) of the chart.
Ascendant marks the beginning of the first house of the chart and it is
from this that the rest of the houses are determined.
The houses represent the areas of life and are, therefore, a huge key to the birth chart.
If you would like to get the most out of your chart consultation, you will need to know your time of birth. Here are my suggestions:
- In some countries, the time of birth is written on the birth certificate.
- Sometimes we are gifted our time of birth in a baby record book.
parents/guardians have fantastic memories when it comes to the time of
birth and some may not be quite so certain, but know that its within 30
minutes of a particular time.
none of these options is applicable, then my next suggestion is to call
the birth and death records department in the hospital where you were
born. They may charge a small fee for this service. If you were born at
the RBH, Brisbane for example, you can click here for the contact details.
option that you have is to have your birth chart 'rectified' by a
qualified rectification astrologer.
This process usually involves you
giving the astrologer lots of details around significant dates; such as
births, deaths, marriages.
The Astrologer then uses such details to
determine your time of birth.
Please note that this is complex and the
time may not always be 100%, accurate however.
